MECHANICAL ENGINEER – FUEL CELL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
STATUS: PROFESSIONAL EXEMPT
JOB DESCRIPTION
Seeking a dynamic candidate to influence design
and manage product application and integration
efforts for new projects. Will contribute to an active
R&D program to develop novel materials and
advanced architectures for solid oxide fuel cells.
Also, will establish standard operating procedures
for the fabrication of SOFCs in a production
environment, and develop/implement process
improvements to reduce variability. Includes
expertise to perform electrochemical test and
microstructure analysis.
Minimum requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS Master or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering or a closely
related discipline
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
SOFC materials and processing, relevant experience in the field is preferred
Ceramic processing such as powder synthesis, tape casting, screen printing, ink
preparation and sintering
Microstructure and electrochemical performance analysis such as scanning electron
microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
Hands on experience, self-starter, able to work independently or on small teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
