FTZ Coordinator

Nidec Mobility America Corporation(NMOA) is looking for an energetic and focused FTZ Compliance Coordinator within our ‘Hybrid-to-remote’ work environment.

NMOA (St. Charles, IL), headquarters our family of Companies with facilities in the USA, Canada, Germany and Mexico (with our Sales Team based in Detroit Metro).

As a world leader in sensing and control technology, we control the most discrete functions within an automobile – from seat switches, power window switches, and instrument panel controls, towards complex user interfaces. NMOA is directly involved with automotive OEM’s and holds a leadership position within Nidec for product development with global vehicle makers.

Objective

The FTZ Coordinator assists in processing import, FTZ admission, and logistics transactions. They aid in administering the foreign-trade zone transactions from admission (receipt) to shipment utilizing Integration Point software.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and file (submit) all daily FTZ admissions (e-214).
• Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual FTZ forms and reports necessary for FTZ operations are submitted and reviewed for accuracy.
• Maintain proper record keeping required for management of the FTZ.
• Operate the FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping system.
• Interact with Customs and Border Protection if necessary
• Routinely update and report to direct management concerning activities related to the Foreign-Trade Zone.
• Process and verify FTZ related data.
• Validate FTZ data against actual documentation as needed to ensure accuracy of integration and information.
• Conduct audits of transactions and processes and make recommendations on improvements.

Experience:

• 2+ years of related professional import experience in a real world environment
• Experience related specifically to FTZ’s preferred but not required

Education: High School or Equivalent

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Some experience with import activities (7512, HTSUS, classification, logistics)
