Woman and Privately Owned. Our clinic is growing in technology and currently has DR radiography, Dental Radiography, and an ultrasound. We have in house IDEXX analyzers and the IMAGYST scanner. We also have a Tonovet tonometer.
Staff
We ensure at least a 1.5 – 2 assistant per doctor ratio. Our assistants and techs are well trained in taking history, venipuncture, filling and explaining medications. They are also trained in making notations in records to help our doctors in medical record completion.
Mentorship
The staff and doctors at AHEB are education focused and are active in mentorship not only of veterinary students and new grads, but aspiring technicians as well. We also occasionally host a high school student.
Giving Back
AHEB recognizes the need for community involvement and service. We work hand in hand with many rescues and the local animal shelter to help in need pets and families. We also regularly volunteer during festivals/events to promote animal welfare. Our hospital was one of the bases for transport of affected animals after the Hurricane Helene disaster and our staff traveled to severely affected areas to provide aid.
Vision
AHEB recognizes the importance of mental health and wellness. We seek to ensure mental wellness by having open and honest conversations and providing essential time away from the veterinary world. As redundant as it seems, we do see this practice as family. We have a very low turn-over rate and the majority of our staff have been with us in some capacity for 4 years or more.
