You will have the opportunity to research the latest public blockchains, smart contracts and digital assets, as well as serve the clients that drive this exciting and disruptive industry forward. The EY organization serves a wide range of companies in the digital asset ecosystem, such as well-known global digital asset exchanges, custodians, miners/validators, payment providers, investment managers and broker-dealers.
To provide Assurance services including financial audits, audit-readiness, forensic investigations and related due diligence, we must have a technical understanding of the wide variety of public blockchains, smart contracts and the digital assets native to these platforms, along with the relevant risks and controls involved. We also must develop tools and methodology to assess our clients' activities in this sector. The Digital Asset Research Center makes this possible. We are a small, focused team that is rapidly growing. You will be exposed to and involved with all levels of business management and have numerous opportunities for personal growth and career development. While the Digital Asset Research Center primarily focuses on US clients, you will be collaborating with similar teams in other regions in Europe, India, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.Your key responsibilitiesFull-stack software development including front-end and back-endCreate technical documentation and memos for complex digital asset topicsCollaborate with financial auditors to design and implement techniques to test financial statement assertions relating to digital assetsSolve novel technical problems and provide innovative solutions to support client solutions/implementations as well as our core product offeringsKeep up-to-date on emerging leading practices in this fast-growing area and identify where and how new practices can be appliedWork effectively with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive work environmentSkills and attributes for successWe're seeking self-motivated individuals with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize shifting workloads in a rapidly changing industry. If you're passionate about problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to complex issues, this role is for you.To qualify for the role you must have:Three to five years of related prior work experience in application developmentA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or related fieldStrong understanding of blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications (dApps)Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with the following technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript development such as Node.js, Express, React, Angular, etc.Ethereum, including Solidity, or other protocols such as Hyperledger, Solana, etc.Testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, etc.Database technologies including both NoSQL and SQL architecturesGit or other version control/source code management softwareContainer technologies such as Docker or PodmanDevOps and cloud service providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCPPrevious development experience in Agile teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentationsThe ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessaryAccess to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102,500 to $187,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,900 to $213,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
