Administrative Support PositionUnder the supervision of the Talent Development Manager, this position provides administrative support in public relations, safety, and human resources.Essential functions include:Check-in visitors and notify appropriate parties of visitorsMaintain accurate training recordsDistribute mailRestock refrigerators around the officeMaintain office equipmentPurchase office suppliesMaintain up-to-date filing systemProcess incoming and outgoing mailContact person for vending machinesSafety data entry into the Convergence systemEnters/maintain employee task training recordsManages administrative safety observation/suggestions programEnter employee safety points in the company reward systemSchedule various meetings and company events and make necessary accommodation arrangementsGenerate and maintain annual production schedule, vacations schedules, and calendar of eventsAssist in planning company events and plant toursMaintain employee uniform and safety shoe programManagement supportAssist with various special projects as requestedMinimum education and experience:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum two years of general office manager or administrative experienceKnowledge, skills, and abilities:Proficient in reading, writing, and mathematical skillsAbility to work with a variety of people and personalitiesProficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and familiarity with Access or other database applicationsExcellent communication skills on the phone and in personStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to travel occasionallyProject a positive attitude and professional appearanceAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to properly handle confidential informationAbility to perform multiple tasks in a busy office environment (may include distractions, interruptions, and noise)Must have excellent work and safety recordPass required physical examination and drug screenPhysical requirements:Ability to lift and carry 20 pounds of weightPhysical requirements also include visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, climbing on equipment, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, and squatting to perform the essential functionsMust be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as requiredWorking conditions:Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain)Must be able to work in a noisy environment with noise levels up to 120 dbaMust be able to work in environments including vibration and mechanical and electrical hazardsMust be able to work any assigned shiftMay have exposure to dust, cement, clay, gypsum, sand, diesel exhaust, lubricants, solvents, various fuels, etc. (See MSDS's)At Martin Marietta, we strive to work with the best and the brightest – those who have the potential to become our company's future leaders.
