Software Engineer (UI)We are looking for a highly-motivated software engineer specializing in frontend development (UI) to continue shaping the visual design and user experience of our website. You will be working on the engineering team in the creation of new features, the ongoing process of updating and unifying the visual design of our site. As a developer, you will be involved in every step of the development cycle: building mockups, prototyping, and writing production-ready code.
The UI team within engineering will be focused on creating a great site for our customers nationally and internationally. We are looking for folks that enjoy collaboration, A/B testing and seeing their projects come to life.QualificationsTechnical environment: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, Bootstrap, FreemarkerA minimum of 2 or more years of experience in web UI DevelopmentProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design toolsProficiency with HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery with proven coding and prototyping skillsStrong web design, layout, typography and iconography skillsAbility to translate high level concepts into wireframes and prototypesBachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experienceExperience in working with cross-functional teamsExceptional communication skills, with a dedication to detail and consistencyFamiliarity with source control systems (SVN and Git is a plus)Experience with responsive design and email templatesExperience with Bootstrap and FreemarkerExperience with mobile design/development (particularly jQuery Mobile/Phonegap)If you have experience with our development environment (or similar technologies), have a passion for code, and love the startup vibe (without the risk), we'd love to hear from you.
