Overview
GeriatriCare Management, Inc. is looking for a part-time worker. This company provides "friendly visits" to our elderly/incapacitated clients that reside in long term care facilities or in their own homes in the Northern Virginia area. Services that are provided include: shopping, friendly visits, running errands, taking clients on outings or appointments, etc.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical support and companionship to elderly/disabled clients in their homes or in long-term care facilities.
- Assist with errands, transportation coordination, and accompanying clients to appointments or activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior history of working with the elderly/disabled
- Current VA state driver’s license with insurance
- Reliable car and computer
- Ability to navigate the Northern Virginia area
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers and administrative staff
- Self-motivated, self-directed, organized and flexible
