Freight Forwarder, Ocean ExportItascaNearest Major Market: ChicagoThe Freight Forwarder, Ocean Export is responsible for overseeing the export of goods via ocean transport. This position ensures that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner. Duties and responsibilities include:Ensuring that export processes are executed in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective mannerCoordinating with internal teams, such as logistics and customer service, to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of goodsMaintaining relationships with customers and partnersAnalyzing market trends and identifying areas for process improvementEnsuring compliance with all relevant regulations and lawsOverseeing documentation for export shipmentsEducational background / Work experience:Familiarity with export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and industry best practicesSkills & Competencies:Proficient in using computer software programs related to logistics and supply chain managementExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectivelyAttention to detail and strong organizational skillsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with ocean freight regulations, customs requirements, and export controlsKnowledge of shipping routes and schedulesLanguage skillsFluency in English is requiredKnowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer LiteracyProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with logistics software and systems is requiredAt Will Employment DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
