Working remotely on a contract basis, the Freelance Senior Content Strategist will shape the creative and commercial direction of selected titles within a premium publishing program by collaborating with authors and project teams to ensure compelling and market-aware manuscripts. Key responsibilities Researching authors and their proposed subjects, along with the wider publishing category, prior to project kickoff Leading Book Development Strategy Sessions with authors, writers, and project managers to define the book's direction Approving a clear Book Strategy Blueprint that establishes the editorial foundation for each project Required qualifications Proven experience in content strategy or editorial roles within the publishing industry Strong understanding of market trends and audience engagement in publishing Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative sessions and articulate strategic visions Experience working with authors, ghostwriters, and editorial teams Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
