Job Description
Project Location: Monroe, Louisiana
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start time (additional hours may be available based on project needs)
Project Duration: Approximately 6 Weeks
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $950 per week
  • Per Diem: $250 per week
  • Mileage Reimbursement: $0.45 per mile
  • Hotel Accommodations: Provided and paid by employer
Job Summary
We are seeking experienced construction professionals for a 6-week commercial project in Monroe, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in framing, demolition, drywall installation and finishing, painting, and general construction tasks. Applicants must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work efficiently in a team environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform demolition and site preparation as required
  • Construct and install wood and metal framing according to project specifications
  • Hang, repair, and finish drywall
  • Tape, bed, and mud drywall surfaces to prepare for finishing
  • Sand and smooth drywall finishes to professional standards
  • Apply primer, paint, and finishing coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans
  • Measure, cut, and install materials accurately
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Follow all job site safety requirements and company policies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project deadlines
Requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in framing, drywall, finishing, and painting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
  • Experience with demolition and remodeling projects
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and drywall finishing equipment
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be dependable and maintain a consistent work schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial construction projects
  • Ability to perform multiple trades efficiently
