Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Part of team rotation that operates and manages ARMsPrioritize workflow and ensure equipment up time is maximizedMaintain a clean and safe work environmentPerform certification procedures for equipment every shiftCommunicate to engineering/tech support when issues arise with the equipmentSetup oncoming shift up for successPerform ARM level 1 trouble shooting stepsPart of team rotation that is assigned Level 1 TroubleshootingResponsible for shift cleaning of 30, 40, and 50 cellsFollowing all cell cleaning checklist to maintain safety and qualityLog cell cleaning in MaximoPerform troubleshooting steps as outlined in the documentationAble to escalate issues once problem is above level one abilitiesEven when not assigned as a Level 1 it is the expectation of the roll and the department that these operators support the equipment from a technical standpoint that PAs can not perform.Knowledge/ Skills / Abilities:Ability to navigate responsibilities with changing priorities and multiple tasks assignedMust have the ability to function independentlyMust maintain certification and function as Fiber Processing PAStrong teamwork and leadership skillsAdder Specifics: Base pay + $1.50Requirements to Apply: Certified in FPA as a PA Not on a Level 2 Discipline or above This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $22.00 hourly rate - $25.25 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
