Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

About the Opportunity

A leading investment management platform is seeking a highly motivated Senior FP&A Analyst to join its growing finance team. The firm manages capital across a diverse range of investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, real estate, and public market investments on behalf of institutional and high-net-worth investors.

This individual will play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, management reporting, and strategic analysis while partnering closely with senior leadership across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages and financial analyses
• Analyze business performance, operating trends, and key financial metrics
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making
• Partner with business leaders to monitor expenses, headcount, and investment-related activity
• Assist with board, investor, and executive-level presentations
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on revenue, expenses, and profitability
• Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities
• Support ad hoc strategic initiatives, M&A analyses, and special projects as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 3-6 years of relevant FP&A, corporate finance, investment management, public accounting, or consulting experience
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Background

• Experience within asset management, alternative investments, financial services, private equity, credit, real estate, or related industries
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and executive-level financial analysis
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Workday, or similar planning/reporting tools
