In this position you will manage the day-to-day activities of the core room and/or the mold line, including inventory and equipment.
You will lead a team to ensure the group is always working effectively and efficiently.Location: Lawrenceville, PAShift: 12pm – 8pmKey Responsibilities Include:Hire, train, and coach machine operators and mold assemblersHold employees accountable for established policies and processesSupport operators and maintenance personnel with troubleshootingComplete required safety, quality, and production paperwork for the shiftCommunicate issues and escalate them to management as neededEnsure compliance with safety and quality requirementsInspect and verify pattern and core box work to confirm tooling accuracyRead and interpret foundry schedules to plan daily core room and/or mold line operationsPartner with safety and process engineering to develop and maintain standard work proceduresWork with design and engineering to improve tooling and processesImplement process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce wasteCoordinate with tooling and engineering to maintain accurate inventory of critical pattern and core box maintenance suppliesRequired Qualifications:Minimum 3 years in tooling maintenance or related manufacturing experiencePreferred Qualifications:Proven leadership skills and experience managing a production teamStrong understanding of manufacturing processesFoundry experience is a plusAbility to understand and utilize computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointStrong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshootStrong communication skillsEducation:High School Diploma or GED is requiredAssociate's degree or applicable related work experienceWorking Conditions:Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas and plant grounds.This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidaysAbility to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plantSafety Activities:Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
