Founding Operations Lead – Consumer & Retail Portfolio

Meridian Consumer Partners is a family office-backed investment holding company and operating group; we incubate, invest in, and scale consumer brands. Two of our portfolio companies – a Japanese matcha and dessert and a retail fashion concept store – opening in downtown Manhattan this November, with more to follow.

We’re hiring a Founding Operations Lead to open and run the F&B flagship, support the retail fashion concept store, and help build the operating platform underneath both. Not a traditional store-management role, but it starts with running one exceptionally well. The growth path leads to multi-unit leadership and Operating Partner as the portfolio scales.

You’ll

• Lead the launch: project management across vendors, suppliers, contractors, inspections, point-of-sale, and training
• Run the flagship store day-to-day: team management, customer service, inventory/merchendising, health-department standards
• Own production standards for the F&B store and support the retail fashion concept as needed
• Hire and train the opening team; help write the playbook future locations run on
• Grow with the portfolio: from one location to multi-unit, then multiple portfolio companies

You have

• 3 years leading F&B or boutique (high-end) retail operations; openings or multi-unit experience preferred
• Experience owning both an inventory count and a P&L
• NYC Food Protection Certificate, or able to get one fast
• Matcha, Japanese food, or boutique fashion retail experience is a plus
• A hands-on, boots-on-the-ground, entrepreneurial approach – you’ll shape how the team grows
