Founding Full Stack EngineerWe're seeking a Founding Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale an AI-powered SaaS platform that automates complex business workflows for enterprise customers. This is an opportunity to join an early-stage startup as one of the first engineering hires, taking ownership of the product from concept to production. You'll work directly with leadership, solve real customer problems, and build mission-critical software that integrates with external business systems.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn customer-facing features from ideation through production deployment.Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs.Build secure, auditable data models and event-driven workflows.Develop real-time dashboards and customer-facing applications.Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms, ERP systems, logistics providers, and external business applications.Design resilient synchronization systems to keep multiple platforms in sync.Improve platform reliability through monitoring, observability, alerting, and operational best practices.Work across the full technology stack, including backend, frontend, APIs, and data engineering.Collaborate directly with customers to understand business workflows and translate requirements into software solutions.Required QualificationsTechnical Skills2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js.Solid experience designing applications with PostgreSQL.Full Stack development experience using React.Experience building REST APIs and backend services.Familiarity with: Event-driven architecturesWebhooksAsynchronous processingThird-party system integrationsOwnership & ExecutionAbility to independently take projects from concept to production.Comfortable working with minimal direction in a fast-paced startup environment.Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.Passion for building highly reliable, production-grade software.Willingness to take ownership and support critical production systems when needed.CommunicationExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Collaborative mindset with a low-ego, team-first attitude.Preferred QualificationsExperience as an early engineering hire or founding engineer at a startup.Background in B2B SaaS or industries such as logistics, supply chain, freight, or consumer products.Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce, or similar).Experience working at logistics or supply chain technology companies.Familiarity with modern technologies such as: Next.jsSupabaseAI AgentsLarge Language Models (LLMs)Agentic AI workflowsBenefitsCompetitive base salaryEquity opportunityHealth insuranceHigh-impact role with significant ownership and career growthWork EnvironmentHybrid role based in Brooklyn, NY.Strong preference for candidates who can work onsite most of the week.Fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and close collaboration across the team.
