Founder in ResidenceC10 Labs is seeking Founders in Residence (FIRs) to build the next generation of AI-driven healthtech, biotech, and deeptech companies in Cambridge/Boston. As a Founder in Residence, you will work directly with the C10 Labs team to:Identify and validate high-impact problems in healthcare, biology, and scientific systemsDevelop and test new venture concepts leveraging AI, data, and emerging technologiesRapidly prototype solutions with access to technical, clinical, and research partnersLaunch and scale a new company from zero to venture-backedThis is a build-track role designed for individuals who want to found a company but benefit from the infrastructure, capital, and ecosystem of a venture studio at day zero.What You'll Do:Source and validate opportunities across healthtech, biotech, and deeptechWork closely with clinicians, researchers, and industry partners to define real-world problemsBuild and iterate on MVPs using AI/ML, data platforms, and scientific toolingLead early go-to-market strategy and customer discoveryRecruit and build an initial teamPosition the company for seed/Series A financingWhat We're Looking For:Technical builder or operator with a background in AI, computer science, bioengineering, or related fieldsExperience in healthcare, biotech, life sciences, or deeptech environments (startup, lab, or industry) Founder mindset — you've built, scaled, or operated in early-stage companies Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and zero-to-one environments Deep curiosity about applying AI to real-world scientific and healthcare challenges Bonus: Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant technical or scientific fieldAdditional qualities we value:Strong product intuition and problem discovery skillsTechnical fluency in AI, machine learning, or data-driven systemsAbility to operate in highly ambiguous early-stage environmentsExperience building teams or leading complex initiativesAbility to translate emerging technology into scalable businessesWhy This RoleCambridge/Boston is the global epicenter for AI + biotech convergence.
