Foundation DrillerThe Foundation Driller is responsible for operating specialized equipment to support foundation construction for utility power infrastructure, including transmission towers, poles, and substations. This role ensures safe, efficient, and precise operation of machinery while adhering to engineering specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations. You will report to the Foreman.Essential FunctionsPerform excavation, drilling, and soil stabilization for deep foundations and anchor systemsFollow OSHA and company safety protocols, including pre-operation checks and safe operating proceduresParticipate in daily safety meetings and report hazards or incidents immediatelyConduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment (lubrication, fueling, cleaning)Report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime.Collaborate with Foreman and crew to ensure proper sequencing of tasks and efficient workflowAssist with site preparation and material handling as neededMaintain accurate logs of equipment usage, hours, and maintenance activitiesMinimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of experience operating heavy or specialized foundation equipment in construction or utility projectsValid driver's license and applicable equipment operator certificationsMust have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – Class AKnowledge of soil conditions, drilling techniques, and foundation requirementsAbility to read and follow site plans and instructionsStrong commitment to safety and teamworkAble to work for extended periods in various locations, when requiredAble to lift in excess of 50 lbsWilling to work overtime when requestedWilling to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the positionPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the responsibilities of this job, you will be required to talk, listen and use hand signals to communicate.

You are occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
