Christian Family Care Social Services Agency is looking to hire a full-time Foster Family & DCS Adoption (FF/DCSA) Specialist . As the FF/DCSA Specialist, you will:

• Determine suitability of prospective adoptive families and foster care providers, including the preparation of a comprehensive psycho-social home study, interviewing applicants for motivation, dynamics, and function, as well as assessing matches and family’s knowledge of parenting from a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.
• Educate families about adoption issues and work to resolve infertility issues with couples, making appropriate referrals as needed for counseling.
• Assure foster homes remain in compliance with program policies, child discipline policies, and state licensing requirements, maintain written case records, and prepare quarterly summaries, annual renewals, amendments, and withdrawals in a timely manner.
• Act as liaison between the foster family and DCS in matters related to reimbursements and special payments; participate in regular Foster Care department staff meetings, both giving and receiving support from fellow staff members.

If you have 1+ years’ experience in parenting skills, counseling, or in-home support services and a bachelor’s degree in social work, Family and Marriage Studies, or a closely related field
