We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to help customers solve complex technical challenges and bring cloud and AI solutions into production. This role combines hands-on engineering, solution architecture, and direct customer collaboration, with ownership from initial discovery through deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build and deploy cloud infrastructure and applications using AWS and Kubernetes.
- Develop AI integrations and workflows using technologies such as LLMs, model APIs, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
- Own proofs of concept, troubleshoot deployment challenges, and guide solutions into production.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to turn customer feedback into product improvements.
- Travel occasionally to the Washington, D.C. area for customer meetings and technical working sessions.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Experience building or deploying applications using AI technologies.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, TypeScript, or a similar language.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work directly with customers.
- Comfort navigating ambiguous requirements, solving problems independently, and owning delivery.
- Availability for occasional travel to the Washington, D.C. area.
Nice to Have
- Experience in forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or customer-facing software engineering.
- Familiarity with Terraform, CI/CD, networking, and cloud security.
- Experience supporting enterprise, government, or regulated customers.
- Need to currently hold a TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance
