Forward Deployed Engineer with Java

About the Role
We are looking for Forward Deployed Engineers who combine strong Java engineering skills with hands-on use of AI tools to deliver software 5X–10X faster than traditional development. You will work directly with customers, understand their business problems on-site or remotely, and rapidly build, deploy, and iterate on production-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with customers to understand requirements, workflows, and technical constraints
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable Java-based solutions in customer environments
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate design, coding, testing, and documentation, targeting 5X–10X productivity gains
- Build integrations, APIs, and data pipelines connecting customer systems with the core product
- Rapidly prototype, validate with stakeholders, and harden solutions for production
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in live customer environments
- Provide feedback from the field to product and engineering teams
- Document solutions and share AI-driven development best practices across the team
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java (Java 11/17+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Proven ability to use AI tools in daily development (prompt engineering, AI-assisted code generation, refactoring, test creation)
- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in ambiguous environments
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-facing mindset
