Were looking for an engineer embedded with our brokerage team to help transform how the business operates, working closely with representatives, carrier sales, operations, and our core engineering team. This in-person role offers immediate visibility into your impact, high ownership, opportunities to grow as our technology work expands, and exposure to emerging AI and automation tools. Annual pay is $101,425-$129,423, with 401(k) matching, dental, health, life, and vision insurance, and paid time off.### Requirements- At least 4 years of professional software development experience.- Strong experience with at least one of PHP/Laravel, TypeScript/Node.js, or Python.- Front-end experience with React or a similar framework.- Solid SQL and relational database skills.- Experience building API integrations, webhooks, and background jobs.- Strong troubleshooting skills across code, data, and third-party systems.- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and train others patiently.- Confidence working with a fast-paced sales team and encouraging adoption.- Clear written communication and strong documentation habits.- Preferred: experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or TMS; with AI voice agents, LLMs, or automation platforms; as a forward-deployed, implementation, or solutions engineer; with telephony or phone systems; or integrating CRMs and other systems of record.### Responsibilities- Build features, integrations, and tools for our always-on automation platform.- Redesign brokerage workflows, including load intake, carrier sourcing, booking, tracking, and follow-up.- Lead the rollout of new automations and AI tools across brokerage teams.- Observe day-to-day work on the floor and build solutions that reduce friction.- Configure, test, and refine AI voice agents using their performance on real calls.- Connect our platform with phone systems, load boards, CRMs, TMSs, and carrier data sources.- Use SQL and scripts to investigate issues, clean data, and resolve problems.- Train representatives and operations staff, and create practical guides.- Monitor adoption and outcomes, including usage, time savings, and areas for improvement.- Develop and maintain our playbook for implementing new technology.- Own new automation rollouts end to end, from coding and configuration through training, monitoring, and improvements.
