Vernon, OHCompensation IncludesStarting Pay Rate of $23.13/hourAvailable ShiftNights: 7:00pm - 7:00am2,2,3 scheduleOverviewThe Former Operator is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and coordination of packing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications are consistently met. This position requires a mechanically inclined, hands-on individual who can effectively lead employees, troubleshoot production issues, prioritize workloads, and maintain an efficient production line.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and print production labels, port tickets, WIP tickets, production orders, and specification sheets for each shiftCoordinate staffing and assign packers to production lines based on established production standards and business needsLead, train, and develop new packers and trainers to ensure employees understand job responsibilities, quality expectations, and safety proceduresCoordinate meal and break schedules while maintaining appropriate production coverageMaintain accurate inventory of production labels, port tickets, WIP labels, and other required production materialsEnsure production lines are properly prepared and ready for setup by completing line-clearance activities and verifying required materials are availableProvide leadership and direction to packers/loaders when production lines are down or operating at reduced capacityOperate or assist with forklift operations as requiredAssist with basic equipment troubleshooting and demonstrate the ability to understand mechanical issues affecting productionQualificationsPrevious experience in manufacturing, production, packing, or similar industrial environment preferredStrong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and communicate basic equipment issuesForklift experience requiredCompany BenefitsWhat You'll Get From UsWith safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
