We currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Winchester, VA durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.
The Forklift Operator is a critical part of our warehouse team, responsible for shipping, storing, and receiving inventory as well as providing sanitation support for the entire warehouse.Responsibilities:Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars according to shipping schedule; operate other equipment for shipping, as neededMaintain accurate inventory while storing and loading, practicing first in/first outMonitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as requiredMaintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation, performing scheduled cleaning of equipmentRe-palletize and rework products, and prepare products for regrind processMaintain safety and quality in a high-paced environmentQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institutionAble to work weekends, holidays and overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications:Experience operating a forkliftExperience in a food manufacturing facilityPhysical Requirements:Crouch, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periodsWork in a dusty, high heat/humid environment and confined spaces
