Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate
Location: Metairie, LA
Pay: $18.00 / hour
Shift: Full-time (7:00 AM / 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, includes 1-hour lunch)
Job Overview
A local commercial supplier is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to support daily material handling, inventory movement, and site organization. This dynamic role requires operating specialized forklift equipment both indoors and outdoors, alongside active manual labor in the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate sit-down forklifts and cherry pickers to move, stack, and stage materials.
  • Perform general warehouse labor, inventory organizing, and loading/unloading duties when not actively operating equipment.
  • Work outdoors in varying weather conditions to transport, manage, and arrange stock in yard areas.
  • Load, unload, and maneuver heavy materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Extensive, proven experience operating sit-down forklifts and cherry pickers.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly throughout the shift and perform continuous manual labor.
  • Must wear steel-toe boots and non-branded pants (plain, non-logo shirts required; all additional PPE provided).
  • Ability to work comfortably in both indoor warehouse environments and outdoor yard settings.
