Forklift Operator

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. This role involves operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring the efficient handling of products in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including stand-up, propane, and electric models, for 90% of the job.
• Unload raw materials from incoming trucks, placing them in designated areas, and verify counts.
• Load trucks with the correct raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate product counts.
• Supply bottles to the production lines efficiently.
• Perform daily checks on the forklift for oil, water, and other essentials, adding as necessary.
• Adhere to company policies and safety requirements, representing the company positively.
• Work overtime when needed and maintain cleanliness of work areas at the end of shifts.
• Understand and apply SQF standards, ensuring Food Safety/Food Quality, and report issues appropriately.
• Potential opportunity to work in the office for those who demonstrate aptitude and ability.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts, including stand-up, sit-down, and reach trucks.
• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Forklift certification is mandatory.
• Capability to lift and move more than 60 pounds occasionally.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with RF scanners and inventory management.
• Knowledge of warehouse material handling.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
