Forklift Operator
Our client, a leading logistics and distribution organization, is seeking forklift operators to join their team. As a forklift operator, you will be part of the distribution operations supporting warehouse and inventory management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Sumter, SC
Pay Range: $18.40-$18.80/hour depending on shift
Shift: 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., 3-2-2-3 schedule, Rotating schedule (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off)
What's the Job?
- Transport palletized products within the distribution center, including unloading, put-away, bulk handling, and pallet picking.
- Operate various material handling equipment such as high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker.
- Utilize RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure inventory accuracy and track products efficiently.
- Maintain product integrity and follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE like safety vests and shoes.
- Assist in cross-training in other areas of the warehouse to provide backup support when needed.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 6 months experience driving a forklift required
- Must have experience with high reach or counterbalance forklifts.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English and operate MHE with RF scanners.
- Job requires a pre-employment drug and background screening
