Forklift Operator details:
- Temp-to-hire position
- $19.50/hour
- Full-time work available
- Weekend work required
- First shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:45pm)
Experienced forklift operators needed to operate in a safe and efficient environment. Experience with powered industrial trucks (PITs) to manage material flow.
Key responsibilities:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Operate a range of powered industrial trucks (PITs), including electric walkie riders, electric pallet jacks, stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, and reach trucks, to precisely push, pull, lift, stack, and transport products, equipment, and materials.
- Utilize handheld scanners for inventory tracking and management.
- Execute loading and unloading of trailers as required to support logistics.
- Maintain a highly organized and efficient workspace by consistently adhering to 5S program standards.
- Understand and actively uphold the supply chain quality policy.
- Successfully complete all necessary training and achieve certification for the safe operation of all assigned powered industrial lifts.
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Demonstrated experience operating at least one of the following powered industrial trucks: stand-up forklift, cherry picker, or reach truck.
- Work attire requirements: steel-toed boots, jeans, and a plain t-shirt are mandatory for this position.
Forklift operator qualifications:
- Forklift experience
- Warehouse/distribution experience
- Handheld RF scanner, inventory management system experience
