Forklift Operator
This role focuses primarily on operating a sit-down forklift to move product efficiently and safely within a warehouse environment. You will spend most of your time on the forklift handling double pallet loads, with a smaller portion of your day dedicated to case picking and other manual material handling tasks. You will use RF scanning equipment to support accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory processes.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift for approximately 90% of the shift to move product throughout the warehouse.
- Handle double pallet loads using a quad/double forklift in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform case picking and other manual labor tasks for approximately 10% of the shift as operational needs require.
- Load and unload trailers, trucks, and staging areas using a sit-down forklift.
- Use RF scan guns to accurately scan, track, and record inventory movements.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by moving materials to and from designated locations.
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines while operating equipment and performing material handling tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including keeping aisles and staging zones clear.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow and resolve issues quickly.
- Inspect forklifts and related equipment before use and report any mechanical or safety concerns.
Essential Skills
- At least 6+ months of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift.
- At least 6+ months of experience using an RF scan gun in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Proven experience moving double pallet loads using a quad/double forklift (double pallet experience required).
- Demonstrated skill in loading and unloading materials with a sit-down forklift.
- Hands-on experience with material handling in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform case picking and basic manual labor tasks as needed.
- Capability to follow safety procedures and operate equipment in a controlled, safe manner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort working with RF scanners and basic warehouse technology.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
- No specific education requirements.
- No personal protective equipment, medical certifications, or additional licenses required beyond forklift experience, as specified by the client.
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity during a full shift on the forklift with limited manual labor.

Work Environment
This position is based at a warehouse facility in Nanticoke. The role follows a Monday through Friday schedule on the second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., with every other Sunday included as part of the regular schedule. You will work primarily in a warehouse setting focused on distribution and logistics activities. The environment involves frequent forklift operation, RF scanning, and material handling. Dress expectations align with typical warehouse attire suitable for operating equipment and performing physical tasks, while no additional personal protective equipment or medical certifications are specified by the client.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pittston, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
