Forklift Operator/Material HandlerA large supply company is seeking a Forklift Operator/Material Handler to drive sit-down (preferably propane) forklifts. Additionally, you will be building any skids needed and packaging completed orders. Training will be done for 4 to 5 weeks on first shift from 7 a.m.
to 3 p.m. and then the position will move to third shift.Job Duties:Operator sit-down (preferably propane) forklifts to move palletsMove materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks and secure all loads before handlingEnsure the production lines have material they need to keep production moving in a continuous flowReport inbound and outbound load discrepancies to supervisorAssist with packing, labeling, and preparing shipmentsUse RF scanner to record material movement throughout the facilityMaintain a clean and organized work environmentMonitor surroundings to make sure necessary safety precautions are being used as well as look for ways to prevent accidents from occurringFollow all safety policies and proceduresPerform other job-related duties as assigned
