Forklift Operator
We are seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to load, unload, and move impounded vehicles within the storage and processing yard. This role ensures accurate documentation, safe forklift operation, and proper preparation of vehicles for auction, insurance processing, and inventory. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, attentive to detail, and comfortable working outdoors in a fast-paced yard environment.

• Load, unload, and relocate impounded vehicles within the yard.
• Process impound paperwork and ensure compliance with all vehicle handling requirements.
• Move vehicles daily from awning areas to designated locations, confirming proper marking before transport.
• Pull marked vehicles for weekly auction and wrecker schedules.
• Assist with tire changes, jump-starts, pulling inventory, and relocating auction vehicles as needed.
• Log and remove visible valuables from vehicles; notify clerks of stock or E&E numbers for system updates.
• Apply sand or dry sweep for oil, gas, or transmission spills.
• Complete pre- and post-shift forklift inspections and submit documentation to the fuel station.
• Identify and report safety hazards while adhering to all safety standards.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of forklift or yard operations experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Valid forklift certification or willingness to become certified within the first week.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and situational awareness.
• Bilingual abilities a plus but not required.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Regular use of hands and arms for equipment operation and manual tasks.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Outdoor yard environment with frequent exposure to heat, cold, wind, and other weather conditions.
• Moderate noise conditions; ear protection required while operating forklift.
• Fast-paced, physically demanding environment requiring safety awareness.
