Job Description
We are hiring dedicated Forklift Operators for both 1st and 2nd Shifts to join a busy manufacturing and distribution operation. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and a solid background in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a forklift/lift equipment to move, store, pick, stage, and load materials
- Perform receiving, sorting, replenishment, picking, staging, and loading activities
- Prepare customer orders for domestic and international shipment
- Load and unload materials while following proper safety procedures
- Complete inventory transactions using SAP and/or scan guns
- Maintain accurate inventory and ensure materials are placed in the appropriate locations
- Follow all company safety and operational procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Participate in safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement/Lean activities
- Assist with general warehouse operations as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environment preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and working in confined areas
- Ability to safely handle and lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, climb stairs, and work from elevated platforms as required
- SAP and/or RF scanner experience is a plus
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
Schedules Available:
Day Shift: 5:00 AM-5:00PM | Pitman Schedule
Night Shift: 2:00 PM-10:00 AM | Pitman Schedule
2nd shift new hires will train on day shift for approximately 2 weeks from 6:00 AM-2:30 PM before transitioning to nights.)
Pay: $18-$19.36/hr. Paid weekly!
Best fit: Candidates with hands-on forklift experience who are comfortable in a manufacturing/distribution environment and have experience with material movement, shipping/receiving, SAP, or RF scanners.
