Job Description
Join a dynamic solar company as a Forklift Operator in our inventory warehouse. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently load, unload, stack, and move solar panels and materials within the warehouse. You will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our warehouse activities. The schedule for this position is : Mon-Friday 7AM- 3:30PM and can start immediately .
Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, stack, and move solar panels and materials.
• Conduct pre-shift inspections on all equipment to ensure safety and functionality, reporting any maintenance needs immediately.
• Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments, checking for discrepancies or damages.
• Efficiently stage and load outbound shipments, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure packaging.
• Manage and organize inventory in designated storage areas for accurate product placement and accessibility.
• Utilize RF scanners or other inventory management systems to track and record material movements.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse by sweeping, removing debris, and disposing of waste.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and meet production goals.

Essential Skills

• Valid and current forklift operator certification (OSHA-compliant preferred).
• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehousing environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and RF scanners.
• Ability to operate equipment safely.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory and order verification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of Extensive WMS is a plus but not required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
You will work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures. The working hours are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kinston, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
