This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, and adherence to all safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts to move materials throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from production lines, storage areas, or shipping departments.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and material transactions.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures to prevent accidents or damage to materials.
- Assist with general warehouse duties such as staging, wrapping, or labeling products as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain certification).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
- Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory tracking preferred.
