Forklift Operator – Charlotte, NC 28214
2nd Shift 3pm-11pm Mon-Fri
$21 an hour+overtime+benefits
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or cherry picker forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trailers, containers, and trucks.
- Move products throughout the warehouse for storage, picking, and shipping.
- Perform inventory transactions using RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts as needed.
- Ensure all freight is handled properly to prevent damage.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with general warehouse duties when needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Experience operating reach truck, sit-down, or stand-up forklifts preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified.
- Basic computer and RF scanner experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
