Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Description
The Forklift Operator is responsible for efficient material handling, receiving products via railcar and truckload, and ensuring accurate inventory management. This role involves order picking, staging, scanning, loading materials, and maintaining equipment. The operator must adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Responsibilities

Receive products via railcar and truckload, including scanning and placing them in designated warehouse locations.

Pick orders, including staging and scanning processes.

Load materials onto outbound trailers and conduct trailer inspections.

Ensure 100% inventory integrity by accurately recording and submitting product locations.

Maintain safety and cleanliness of the work environment, including cleaning and maintaining forklift/clamp equipment.

Accurately maintain all SOPs, documents, and procedures.

Use barcoding scanners to scan products into and out of the Abecas system when required.

Submit all paperwork to the office for processing.

Complete the Daily Building Checklist and perform assigned tasks.
Essential Skills

Experience with forklift operation, including sit-down forklifts.

Proficiency in order picking and material handling.

Experience using RF scanners.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active forklift operating certificate preferred, with onsite recertification available if expired.

Steel-toed shoes are required.

Work Environment
Work in a cold storage facility with a schedule of 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, including wearing steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fullerton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
