Job Title: Forklift – 2nd Shift $17/HR

Job Description

We are seeking a committed Warehouse Picker for a full-time, 2nd-shift role at a large parts distribution center in Davenport, Iowa. In this position, you sort and stage boxes on the correct pick pallets for forklift operators, pick and pack products ranging from small handheld boxes to heavy machine parts using lifting equipment, and use an RF scanner to manage inventory. You also load and unload semi-trailers with completed pallets while maintaining strict quality and accuracy standards in a diverse, inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Sort boxes and accurately place them on the correct pick pallets for forklift operators.

  • Pick and pack products of various sizes, from small handheld boxes to thousand-pound machine parts, using appropriate lifting equipment.

  • Operate RF scanners to scan, track, and verify inventory and orders.

  • Load and unload semi-trailers with completed pallets safely and efficiently.

  • Support order picking, packaging, and general warehouse labor tasks as needed.

  • Assist with inventory handling and warehouse distribution activities.

  • Work on a 2nd shift schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., with regular overtime expected until 2:00 a.m. and frequent Saturday shifts.

  • Follow established quality standards and procedures to prevent mix-ups and ensure correct shipments, including overseas orders.

  • Maintain a strong focus on attention to detail to ensure products are shipped to the correct facility.

  • Collaborate effectively in a multicultural, inclusive team environment and contribute to a culture centered on quality.

  • Be willing to work on and around forklifts and other warehouse equipment once trained and certified.

Essential Skills

  • 3–6 months of warehouse experience.

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs safely and repeatedly.

  • Experience picking and packing products in a warehouse or distribution environment.

  • Ability to use RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking.

  • Capability to load and unload trucks or semi-trailers.

  • Comfort working with and around lifting equipment and forklifts.

  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.

  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including extended shifts and Saturdays.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, inclusive environment.

  • Flexibility with working hours on a 2nd shift schedule.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Forklift experience is preferred but not required; willingness to be trained and certified on forklifts is essential.

  • Expereince in general labor, order picking, packaging, or warehouse distribution is beneficial.

  • Comfort working in a large, open parts distribution center with varied products and equipment.

  • Strong commitment to following safety procedures and equipment guidelines.

  • Quality-oriented mindset, understanding that performance is measured by quality standards rather than volume

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Davenport, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
