Forklift Operator/ Warehouse Associate
Our client, a leading logistics and freight forwarding organization, is seeking a Forklift Operator/warehouse associate to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting distribution and shipping activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a safety-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Forklift Operator/Warehouse Associate
Location: Cudahy, WI
Pay Range: $24hr
Shift: First shift, 8am-5pm
What's the Job?
- Receive, sort, and segregate incoming shipments for warehouse/distribution facilities
- Load and unload shipments onto or off pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Sort and process outgoing shipments according to established procedures and regulations
- Load shipments into vehicles and secure with strapping, bracing, and padding using hand tools
- Prepare and update information in computerized systems such as logs, packing lists, pick tickets, and inventories
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience (sit-down forklift required)
- Ability to operate hand jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods and lift 60-80 pounds
- Experience in warehouse distribution or freight forwarding industry preferred
