The ideal candidate has experience operating diesel and propane lifts moving 6,000-11,000 lbs unbalanced loads. Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire a qualified Forklift Operator to work for one of the top distributors in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate has experience operating diesel and propane lifts moving 6,000-11,000 lbs unbalanced loads. Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator - Unbalanced Loads
- Operate diesel and propane sit down forklift transporting loads ranging from 11,000lbs-55,000lbs
- Transport bundles of metal, steel and lumber in the form or 15-20 foot stacks by balancing the unbalanced loads on forks
- Loading bundles from warehouse facility to flatbed trucks and containers completing about 60-100 turns per day
- Assist warehouse staff by performing labor tasks such as cleaning, repacking, stacking, wrapping or other tasks in the warehouse.
- 3 years of forklift experience in a high-volume warehouse setting
- Experience working in metal or lumber distribution is preferred
- Must be able to follow instruction and work with a team
- Overtime is required
- Full-time Salary: $18-20/hour
