Forklift Operator: Lena, Illinois
Our customer in Lena, Illinois, is looking for a dependable, safety-focused individual to join their team as a Forklift Operator to work full-time on 1st shift. In this role, you will support warehouse operations by operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator:
- Operate a forklift to move materials throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently.
- Use an electric pallet jack to transport products as needed.
- Work in a warehouse cooler environment for extended periods of time.
- Learn and use a basic SAP scanner to track materials and inventory.
- Assist with general warehouse cleanup and organization.
- Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Support warehouse operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned.
Forklift Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Ability to work in a cooler environment for several hours at a time.
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to push or pull materials using carts when required.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes, including SAP scanning.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work weekends as needed.
Pay for Forklift Operator: $20.50/hour
