As a Customer Service Representative/Forklift Operator, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by accurately processing orders, handling products with care, and ensuring timely, efficient deliveries.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Search database to locate and interpret information critical to order processing.
  • Accurately and thoroughly enter orders for all customers in a timely manner.
  • Process cash, account, and counter sales. Assist showroom sales. Correctly file corresponding paperwork.
  • Schedule deliveries within company terms and conditions. Work with distribution to meet corporate delivery standards.
  • Manage open orders and backorders. Maintain due dates for open orders.
  • Accurately create, process, and complete Return Materials Authorizations (RMAs).
  • Maintain constant communication with yard and management regarding customer/product issues and receive and communicate information in a professional, informative, and instructive manner.
  • Thoroughly understand the installation process and product usage.
  • Create product labels to accurately identify inventory.
  • Participate in inventory and cycle counting.
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move to ensure timely and complete delivery to the customer.
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload trucks, flatbeds, and trailers.
  • Manually load or unload materials from pallets, skids, cars, trailers, or other transport vehicles.
  • Operate RF scanner to manage orders and inventory.
  • Pick, pull, and stage inventory in a warehouse or yard setting.
  • Train new associates for outside yard/warehouse position.
  • Vigorous compliance with all SOPs, company policies, procedures, and performance standards. Help control expenses in any area of the company at all times.
  • Follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by supervisor.
Education, Knowledge, and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Basic ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English.
  • Previous forklift experience is preferred but not required. All employees will receive appropriate training.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Work Environment
The employee works primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and may be exposed to:
  • Noise
  • Dust
  • Fumes
  • Moving equipment and machinery
  • Varying temperatures and outdoor conditions, depending on work assignment
Employees are expected to follow all applicable safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. The employee may frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle materials weighing up to 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment.
The position requires the ability to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Perform strenuous physical labor.
  • Lift, push, pull, and carry materials.
  • Use abdominal and lower-back muscles to provide support during physical activities.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Demonstrate good manual dexterity and hand, arm, and multi-limb coordination.
  • Quickly and safely move arms and legs when operating equipment or handling materials.
  • Maintain sufficient physical stamina throughout the workday.
  • Read and understand reports, labels, data, instructions, and information displayed on computer or scanner screens.
  • Maintain adequate visual ability to safely operate equipment and perform job duties.
