Forklift/Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Description

Metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY looking for forklift operators to join their team!

1st shift hours - 7:15am-3:45pm

Long term opportunity with room to grow

Pay begins at $17 - 18.50/hr, More based on experience

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have previous sit-down forklift experience

- Bobcat and other machinery experience a plus

- Must be comfortable in a heavy industrial environment

JOB DUTIES:

-Operate various types of forklifts and heavy equipment

-Use hand and power tools to separate and cut metal

-Perform material handling and load metal into processing machines

-Operate processing machines as equipment as needed

-Perform quality and purity testing on processed metals

-Stack, band and label product on pallets

-Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
