A forklift driver (often called a Warehouse Associate or Forklift Operator) is responsible for operating material-handling equipment to support daily warehouse operations such as shipping, receiving, and inventory movement.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to:
- Load and unload trucks
- Move, stack, and stage products
- Pick and replenish inventory
- Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to track inventory
- Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with:
- Labeling, packing, and repacking goods
- Inventory counts and stock rotation
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 6 months of warehouse or logistics experience
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain one)
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE)
- 1-3 years of forklift or warehouse experience
- Experience with reach trucks, pallet jacks, or similar equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Basic computer and scanner skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory
- Good communication (English reading/writing/speaking)
- Frequent standing, walking, and bending
- Ability to lift 20-50 lbs
- Work in warehouse conditions (can vary in temperature)
- Warehouse/distribution setting
- Moderate noise levels
- Emphasis on safety and efficiency
