• Loading and unloading freight safely.

  Requirements
• OSHA Certification - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires forklift operators to be certified before operating a forklift.
• Training - Certification involves classroom instruction, hands-on training, and passing an exam.
• Age Requirement - You must be at least 18 years old to legally operate a forklift.
• Safety Knowledge - Employers look for candidates who understand workplace safety and proper forklift operation.
• Physical Fitness - The job may require lifting, standing for long periods, and operating heavy machinery.
