Forestry Project ManagerIn this position you will be a member of Markit! Forestry's management team and you will report to the Vice President of Operations. Location: Markit!'s office in Colorado Springs, CO Travel: 10 - 25%.Duties:Oversee forestry projects from bidding and proposal through execution:Attend project pre-bid meetingsResponsible for cost estimate generationRead project prescriptions to understand the timeline, workflow, equipment and staffing needed for biddingWrite detailed technical and business proposalsCustomer collaborationRead, understand, and manage complex contractsBudget preparation and project controls planningSubcontractor development and managementObtain appropriate permits and licensesCost controls/job status reportsDevelop and manage Project SchedulesMeasure, track and report quantities and milestonesProject invoicing preparation and trackingProject closeout and reportingWork closely with field personnel to deliver project requirementsConduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality standardsOther duties as assignedRequirements:Excellent organizational and motivational skillsOutstanding attention to detailExceptional communication and interpersonal abilityHigh Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Word, MS Project and Adobe AcrobatStrong customer service orientationAdvanced knowledge of office machinery and cellular devices including computer, copier, tablet and cell phoneAbility to work in an online database dailyTravel to project sitesPossess a valid driver's license, or ability to acquire one upon employment, and be insurablePreferred Background & Experience:1-10 years' experience in Project Management and Forestry, at any levelDegree in Construction Management, Forestry, Forestry Management, Engineering or equivalentPMP or equivalent certification is a plusRegional forestry experience is a plusCompensation: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 annually dependent on qualifications and experience.
