Forensics Engineer
I am partnering with a well-established engineering consulting firm seeking a licensed Forensic Structural Engineer to investigate structural damage and develop repair solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural damage investigations and field inspections on residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
- Evaluate structural failures and develop repair recommendations supported by engineering calculations.
- Prepare detailed forensic engineering reports, findings, and technical documentation.
- Conduct structural assessments related to fire, flood, vehicle impacts, foundation movement, and other damage events.
- Support structural engineering and consulting projects while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience performing field inspections, structural assessments, or damage investigations
- Experience preparing engineering reports and technical documentation
- Experience evaluating and repairing damaged structural systems
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area
Nice to Have
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- Experience with forensic engineering investigations
- Experience with structural failure investigations
- Experience with structural damage assessments and repair design
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Special inspection experience involving concrete, masonry, and structural steel
Compensation
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 base salary, depending on experience.
