Jackson & Coker is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens opportunity in Massachusetts, starting August 17th and continuing ongoing. This role involves supporting the opening of a forensic adult unit and providing coverage on the acute adult unit. The position requires expertise in various psychiatric disorders and procedures, offering a chance to contribute to both inpatient and telehealth settings.
Practice Info

- Admissions required
- Support staff includes RNs, technicians, therapists, and administration (CMO)
- Daily multidisciplinary treatment meetings attended by all team members
- EMR: Cerner
Responsibilities
- Perform individual forensic and clinical evaluations in accordance with Massachusetts statutes
- Provide diagnostic, risk, and capacity assessments to support court decisions
- Prepare and present expert testimony when required
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of all evaluations and findings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses, in court clinics
- Rounding on assigned patients

Requirements
- Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Active Massachusetts license
- BLS certification
- Required Procedures / Skills: Anxiety disorders, Affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, Personality disorders, Developmental disorders, Psychotic disorders, Involuntary commitments, Seclusion therapy, Restraint application, Pharmacotherapy, Group therapy
