Food Service Prep Staff

Food Service Staff MemberGeneral Function: Executes food preparations, stockroom management, cleaning of kitchen facility, equipment and general cleaning of dining facilities.Entry Requirements:· Prior experience in food service. 6 months- 1 year experience· Knowledge of potential safety and security problems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:· Implementation of all food service functions at camp, which includes food prep, service, cleaning of kitchen facilities, equipment and dining facilities.· Monitor all necessary food and cooking supplies.· Dining hall set up for special events.· Manage camp resources (as related to food services), proactively working toward a consistent focus, enhancement and quality food and meals to support the mission of the YMCA.· Adhere to all safety standards dictated by the American Camping Association and the licensing standards of the State of Michigan.Effect on End Results: The Food Service Staff member is responsible for all meals served and the equipment and facilities used in the food service process. The position will have a direct impact on the quality stay for all guests of camp.
