About the Role:

As the Food Service Director at Avir at Lufkin, you will be responsible for leading our food service team, overseeing daily operations, and developing innovative menus that meet the dietary needs of our patients. Your primary focus will be on providing a positive dining experience, ensuring patient satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of patients, are appealing, and reflect the cultural diversity of our community

• Manage the food service budget, including food, labor, and overhead costs

• Supervise and coach a team of food service staff, including dietary aides, cooks, and servers

• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

• Coordinate with the healthcare team to develop patient-specific meal plans and special dietary requests

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective food service operations

• Collaborate with the nutrition team to provide optimal nutrition care and support to patients

Requirements:

• 0+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting

• Strong leadership and team management skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
