Server PositionA server's primary responsibility is to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will be the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.Responsibilities:Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly mannerTake drink orders and follow policy regarding service of alcoholCommunicate specials or promotions and make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictionsAnswer questions regarding the menu, including allergies or special requestsServers must know the menu and be able to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to guestsTake accurate food and beverage orders from guests and enter them into the POS systemCoordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and delivered on time and togetherServe food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frameCheck on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concernsRefill drinks and clear plates as needed during guest's dining experienceProvide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guests' needsHandle guest complaints or concerns professionally and bring issues to managementCollaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth servicePresent checks to guests and handle payment transactions accurately and quicklyAs a tipped employee you will be subject to federal (Federal Labor Standards Act – "FLSA") and state laws relating to tip regulations. This includes your compliance with properly reporting tips, contributing to a tip pool (where allowed by law), and following company's policies regarding tasks performed while in a tipped position.
