Folder OperatorKelly Services is hiring an experienced Folder Operator for a manufacturing opportunity in Hartland, WI.If you have experience reading blueprints, setting up fabrication equipment, working with precision measurements, and producing accurately formed metal parts, this could be a great next step.This position is ideal for someone with a background in sheet metal fabrication, folding equipment, press brake operation, or similar metal-forming machinery who takes pride in producing accurate, quality work.As a Folder Operator, you'll set up, program, and operate folding equipment used to manufacture precision production parts.Your responsibilities will include:Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and routingsSet up, program, and operate metal folding equipmentPosition and accurately orient workpieces in machinesAdjust machine settings based on part specifications and material requirementsUse precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and finished-part accuracyPerform basic shop math and metric conversionsWork with a variety of materials and part configurationsMonitor finished parts for proper angles, dimensions, and overall qualityMake equipment or setup adjustments when parts are outside specificationFollow established production and quality proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all company safety requirements and proper machine operating proceduresCommunicate with coworkers and supervisors regarding job requirements, quality concerns, or production issuesYou may be a strong fit if you have:2+ years of manufacturing, fabrication, or machine-operation experienceExperience setting up or operating folding, forming, press brake, or similar fabrication equipmentAbility to read and understand blueprints and technical specificationsStrong basic shop math skillsAbility to perform metric conversionsExperience using precision measuring equipmentAbility to accurately position and orient parts during productionStrong attention to detail and qualityGood mechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently while also supporting a production teamGood written and verbal communication skillsHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience with any of the following is especially valuable:Schroder folding machinesFasti folding machinesRoper Whitney folding machinesCNC or programmable folding equipmentSheet metal fabricationPress brake operationProgramming fabrication equipmentWorking with multiple types and thicknesses of materialPrecision metal formingExperience with these specific machines is helpful, but candidates with comparable folding or metal-forming experience are encouraged to apply.Candidates should be comfortable:Standing for extended periodsFrequently handling parts and materialsBending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and working around manufacturing equipmentUsing foot controls to operate machineryFrequently pushing, pulling, or moving materials up to approximately 25 lbs.Occasionally moving materials up to approximately 50 lbs.Working in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment, noise, and occasional fumes or airborne particlesWearing required PPEIf you have experience with metal folding, fabrication equipment, press brakes, blueprint reading, or precision manufacturing, we'd like to hear from you.Apply today with Kelly Services for this 1st-shift Folder Operator opportunity in Hartland, WI.
